Tales from the Boiler Room

So I've decided that the place that I work is horrendously corrupt.
After being there a year now...the rookies who have started in the past weeeks or few months have been given differential treatment based on the simple fact that they will spend six hours a day yakking about hockey instead of actually doing their job.
For this; they get treated better, get better opportunities to make money, and never have to worry about little things like proper dress code...as long as they continue to kiss ass.

People like myself on the other hand...spend the entire day trying to hit quota, and fail because the opportunities have been given to us last year...have been given to the suck ups this year instead. Even though the policies cleary dictate otherwise.

I think by this Firday, my time there will be done. I've blanked four days in a row now.
My rather loud buddy that sits next to me at the water cooler has also been faring badly...highly unusual for someone who has such a high rate of success.
Barbapapa hasn't seen a Cold one in about three weeks, and is hitting the 4 point mark on a bad period...

Dissention in the ranks...
False promises and more false promises.
Why someone would try to lie to a salesman is beyond me. It's frigging insulting, is all it is.

I've been moved to the smallest little hole in the wall there is, which is right in front of Val's old sparring partner... I have a cubicle with a post in it...there's no freakin' room for a post in it, but there it is anyway. I can't turn my chair without smashing my knees on my desk.

I hate this job, and someone there has already contacted the CRA to force an audit...not telling who, but it should be interesting to see the look on the bosses' faces when/if their books go public.

This business is done in less than two years, guaranteeed.

  • Difficult to do so, now that I got canned.

    But as for the whistleblower...

You loved his voice so much...

I'm done there anyway, and I didn't get my two weeks notice. So how do I go about siccing the labour board on them?

  • Dude, you're out! When did this happen? What are you doing now. Write me when you have a chance.

  • The Labour Board hates these guys, apparantly.

Even though the wife of that useless cologne-infested ex-boss of ours works there.
I told the claim inspector about her, and she's removed from the whole situation.

There's also a variety of old claims that went unprocessed, so from what I understand, there will be an investigatioin to see if she's hiding things from her husband's work.

    Interesting...
